Japan 2014 Friday

Friday
We started with the Churito Pagoda. We hiked up several flights of stairs to get to the pagoda where there is a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. We got some beautiful pics.

Then we headed to The Old Thatched-Roof Villiage. There are several little thatched-roof huts with different wares and cultural things of interest inside. We first went to the hut where we could dress up in kimonos, which we did and the other tourists got a kick out of seeing us walk around in those for a bit.  We had Eden and Annie with us. They were darling in their little kimonos.

We let the girls make a paper craft in one of the huts-- they glued little pieces of colored paper onto another paper to make a Christmas tree design. We didn't realize they were going to cost us $10 each.

Then we had a really good lunch there of authentic Japanese food again. It was a couple of different noodle soups.  We liked them. We topped that off with ice cream cones.

Then we headed for the Shiraito Falls. It was a half-hour drive from the villiage. The falls were amazing!! There was a main waterfall and then a whole wall of falls surrounded be foliage and fall colors - absolutely amazing! We took a short walk around the falls to another big waterfall and then back again. We loved it.
